In the light of shade (An article on Light, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, by Megha Lodha Kathariya)

It symbolises hope, light and happiness. The Indian festival of lights, Diwali, is dominated by brightness of occasion and thought, attributes that are close to the hearts of all peoples.... excerpts below.

Eache year in October or November, the festival of Diwali is celebrated with great gusto in India. Known as the Festival of Lights, Diwali symbolises the victory of good over evil... when we think of light, there are many forms of it that come to mind; from fluorescent tube to a lamp, a candle to an earthen lamp, a ray of the sun to a pool of dawn, from strobelights to floodlights... some even find their hearts all lit up when epiphany strikes.
While light symbolises inspiration for many people, its has other connotations, depending on he kind of circumstances that one is in.... Light...at the end of the tunnel...symbol of hope...throughout the home.... Ahamath ensures there's always plenty of light around him at his workplace. But he says his wife is resposible for the natural lighting in their house. She arranges things to ensure that there are no dark corners, because she also believes that light brings a positive energy into the house.
When such commonalities exist in people across the world, it seems the ray of hope will always find a door or a window or even a chink in a thatched roof, to shine through. Now that's a solar-powered thought!
** The article lacks structual writing rather thinking... its a mix of dispersed pearls.. not a necklace.

1. IDdesign (GN Friday MAg pg49) **
Hd: Deep and dignified. Design that match the intensit of a scorpio.
Copy: Captivating designs. Charismatic colours. Compelling choices. A selection of Scandinaiann outdoor furniture that is a departure from the ordinary. Much like a Scorpio. Much like you.
Baseline: We've definitely got something for you.
**4th ad of the campaign. IDdesign takes up astrological stars to communicats their brand. Earlier ads come out very well, this I afraid... In every ad they used to take up the sign, but in this ad the plant which is in the shape of Scorpio has lost its dominance in the visual balance. One may not even notice that in the visual.

3. Sunsilk (GN Friday Mag pg47) ***
HD: Break Free from Dandruff
copy: Unbeaten dandruff protection. no dryness, less hair fall
Shamppoo tested vs. a famous AD brand containin zinc pyrithione, with regular use. No visible flakes with regular use. Due to breakage with regular use.
*** Interesting. Good impact. hair divider in the shape of the logo. This creative would work well in outdoor.

4. Homes r Us ( GN Friday Back cover in) *
HD: Warm up to wecome the winter!
Copy: Homes r Us brings you a wonderful selection of furniture for outdoor living, to suit the season's mood!
Choose from the gigh quality Vattan range - UV, weather and water resistant PVC furniture with the look of rattan and wicker. Suitable for all tyes of wather conditions, this exclusive range is available in a variety of colours and finishes

* It's just an idea. executionally not good. and why green?

5. Westar-2nd ad (GN Friday Mag pg 135) ***
HD: Is your wrist in fashion?
Baseline: Wrist Fashion
*** 2nd ad of the campaign. 1st one was of a couple, with a pair watch. Great concept and art direction, without loosing the branding, despite showing 'fashion' wth dress, footwear and ornaments. The bluish black background and a relatively darkened reddish add-on made it possible.

1. Lipton (GN Friday Mag pg65) **
HD: Antioxidants from "a" to "Z"
Copy: As you alrey know ruits and vegetable are the main source of antioxidants, but did you know that tea has more antioxidants than carrots, apples and oranges. Surprised? But that is true!
What do antioxidants do? They help protext your body against harmful free radicals, which damage cells and lead to chronic disease.
Flavonoids is the name given to the antiodidants present in tea. Research has unvovered positive health benefits of flavonoids. Of course, tea is not a substitute for a balanced diet rich in fruit and vegtables. But remember, there is osmething wornderfull healthy also brewing in your cup of tea!
Baseline: Tea can do that.
** It seems Lipton has put an end to their campaign with this ad. We have reviewed those ads in our previous posts...with those hard to digest factors...yet not digested.
